The film revolves around Araby (Karim Abdel Aziz), a simple taxi driver living a quiet life with his young son after the passing of his wife. His life turns upside down when his wealthy and overbearing father-in-law (Hassan Hosny)—the child's maternal grandfather—attempts to take legal custody of the boy. The events escalate when Araby is brutally attacked by unknown assailants, suffering a severe head injury that causes a rare form of short-term memory loss (anterograde amnesia). As a result, he becomes unable to retain any new memories for more than a few minutes. Shortly after, his son is kidnapped, leaving Araby in a race against time to search for and save him, relying entirely on notes, tattoos, and written reminders he leaves for himself along the way.
