Essam Saber is a prominent Egyptian cinematographer and director of photography (DoP), widely recognized for his technical mastery, evocative camera movement, and lighting design across modern Egyptian cinema and high-budget television productions. Saber has collaborated closely with premier directors, most notably acclaimed filmmaker Sherif Arafa. He played a pivotal role in crafting the visual aesthetic of the period psychological thriller The Crime (El-Jareema, 2022), creating a distinct 1970s atmospheric color palette and tension-filled camera compositions that mirrored the protagonist's psychological state. His camera and photography credits also include key contributions to the blockbuster war epic The Passage (El-Mamar, 2019) alongside numerous prominent feature films and drama series.
